Hi there! I'm Grace Blanchard, a passionate computer animation major at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. My journey began on Long Island, New York, where I grew up in a whirlwind of activities. Between tennis matches, performing in the pit orchestra, and tackling more AP classes than I care to remember, my schedule was always packed to the brim. Yet throughout all these explorations, art remained my true passion, a consistent thread woven through the fabric of my life from the very beginning.

 

From my earliest memories, I've been captivated by the magic of storytelling. There's something profoundly moving about narratives that bring people together, make them feel truly seen, or provide a much-needed escape from reality. This fascination eventually led me to animation, a medium I believe possesses extraordinary power to inspire, comfort, and connect people in ways nothing else can. 

 

My dream is to create work that resonates deeply with audiences, pieces that might inspire the same wonder and connection I've experienced through the animated stories that shaped me. This aspiration guided me to animation as the perfect path to transform that dream into reality. Each project I undertake is another opportunity to refine my skills and develop my unique voice as a visual storyteller, bringing me one step closer to creating meaningful work that leaves a lasting impression.

 

When I'm not completely absorbed in my latest animation project (which, admittedly, is much of the time), you'll find me spending quality time with my family. During winter breaks, I love hitting the slopes for some skiing. In summer, I’ll be outdoors with my friends for camping adventures under star-filled skies.
